The Basics of Precious Metal Clay
Learn the basics of working in Precious Metal Clay. We'll make a toggle or two, create beads using bisque blanks, cut shapes out of PMC sheet, and use Accent Gold. Class is a flat $130, including a basic tool kit and all consumables. With Accent Gold, add an additional $30.

 

The Basics of CopprClay and BronzClay
Learn the basics of working both BronzClay and CopprClay. We'll make several toggles, beads, and pendants. Class is a flat $85, including a basic tool kit and all consumables.

 

Turkish Round Chain
Prerequistie: Byzantine weave. Make your own chain utilizing Turkish Weave and jumprings. Kit fee, $8-20.

 

Peyote Bezeled Pendant
Prerequisite: working knowledge of peyote stitch. Learn how to bezel a flat backed stone or glass cabochon, work bead embroidery stitches to accent the piece, and back the piece in Ultasuede. Several techniques for making a bail will be discussed then implemented to finish the pendant. Kit fee, $15-$20. Class fee, $25.

 

Captive Inverted Round Chain
Make your own chain utilizing Captive Inverted Round Weave and jumprings. Kit fee, $15-20.

 

Beaded bezels
Prerequisite: working knowledge of peyote stitch. Learn how to bezel stones and join them together to make a necklace, bracelet, or pendant. Kit fee, $15-$20.

 

Byzantine Chain
Make your own chain utilizing the very popular Byzantine Weave and jumprings. Kit fee, $15-$30.

 

Flat Crocheted Bracelet
Student must know basic crochet prior to taking this class. Students string beads onto a thick cord and crochet a bracelet using a basic crochet stitch and incorporating beads into the stitches. Kit fee $15-$20.

 

Finishing Techniques
This is a seminar-style class. I will demonstrate finishing techniques (including using leather crimps, cones, proper tying of elastic, and SO MUCH MORE) and take questions. We won't focus on a project for this class, but students may bring in their "problem" projects and I will help you complete the project.

 

Bead Embroidery
Students will make a bead embroidered pin or pendant in this two part class. In the first meeting , I will teach several bead embroidery stitches and in the second meeting I will demonstrate the proper way to finish the project. Kit fee $15-30. Class fee, $40.

 

Peyote Stitch, The Basics
8 different methods and techniques for creating peyote stitch projects. Materials fee is $12. We won't focus on a project for this class, but instead make samples of the different techniques. I will have kits available for purchase that will utilize peyote stitch so the stitch can be practiced before advancing on to the other classes. This class is a prerequisite for all following classes in this series.

 

Peyote Beaded Beads
We will be covering large beads in peyote stitch and use a graphed pattern to embellished beads. Kit fee, $12.

 

Fringe Beaded Beads
Make a bead using peyote-in-the-round and then embellish with simple fringe technique. Kit fee, $15-$25. Class fee is $25.

 

Fat & Thin, Peyote Tube Bead
We will make a focal bead using peyote tube technique and 8 various sizes and shapes of seed beads. Kit fee, $18.

 

Freeform Peyote Stitch Bracelet
This is an advanced class. Creative caps on! Create a unique bracelet utilizing all you have learned about peyote. Kit fee, $20-$35, and class fee is $40.

 

Spiral Stitch Bracelet
A great beginner project, this is a very versatile stitch that can be used to make straps, necklaces, bracelets, and earrings. In the class we will focus on making a bracelet with drop beads and two colors of size 11 seed beads. Kit fee $10.
